alluxia: What do you love most about living in the Southern Highlands?

Beth: So much! The gorgeous climate which brings actual seasons filled with beautiful cold climate garden and flowers. The picturesque landscape filled with wonderful produce and rich farmland and of course the amazing shopping and food. I can't name just one!

The restaurant that best shows off your region...

Bistro Officina is doing some amazing stuff with local produce, as does Biota.

When friends are in town I take them for a drink at...

The Burrawang Hotel of course!

Couples wanting a romantic dinner for two should consider...

Having kids we don't get out for dinner much but fireside for a long lunch at Bendooley Estate doesn't get much better!

The best breakfast spot is...

Ludo in Bowral.

The best coffee can be found at...

Burrawang General Store or Highlands Merchant...Allpress of course!

The best place to dine with kids is...

Bernie's Diner in Moss Vale – never disappoints big or little ones!

For the perfect gift or momento, I'd recommend shopping at...

Made by Others Moss Vale – Anna and Ursula have such a great collection always in their gorgeous store.

The best markets can be explored at...

Moss Vale Farmers Markets Railway Street Thursdays 11am-2pm

For great art and culture...

Sculpture at Hillview annually or any of the great events held at Wombat Hollow in Kangaloon.

The best free activity in the region is...

A trip to Belmore Falls.

If it's raining...

Find a fireplace and a glass of red and settle in! That or a spot of shopping at Dirty Janes in Bowral.

What's the "Must See" attraction in the Southern Highlands...

Any of the Tourist Drives are well worth a look – so pretty! My favourite is the drive through Kangaloon to Robertson.

The Southern Highlands best kept secret...

Too many new places to mention – I LOVE Dirty Janes market though for cheap vintage finds.
