City meets country at Regional Flavours South Bank, a celebration of regional produce from the greater Brisbane region. It's a chance for city folk to bask in the winter sun, stretch out for a picnic and try some of THE best regional produce.

We recently previewed what's in store for next month's Regional Flavours, which returns to South Bank - 15/16 July and met with some of producers, creators and artisans of our region.

Just 90 minutes from Brisbane you'll find 9Dorf Farms, a burgeoning farm who have diversified their property from pasture raised poultry, beef & pork to include aquaculture including Barramundi, Jade Perch and Murray Cod. 9Dorf Farms are 4th generation family owned business who are passionate about sustainable farming and producing ethically raised animals. Touring the farm with owner Bronwyn Neuendorf is a real treat; Bronwyn is an impressive and inspirational farmer leading the way in modern farming in the region. Want to learn more about where your produce comes from? You can tour the farm on the 1st Sunday of the month for just $16 for adults.

From paddock to plate we then arrived at popular Brookfield café Wild Canary. Enigmatic chef, Glen Barratt is a big supporter of local farmers, sourcing local ingredients and utilising their own kitchen garden where possible to reduce food miles. You'll find 9Dorf Farms eggs and other ingredients starring on their seasonal menus.

Seek out Glen Barratt at Regional Flavours, alongside producers and food ambassadors from regions including Lockyer Valley, Sunshine Coast and the Scenic Rim. Glen will be joined onstage by Paul West (Moreton Bay Region Advocate), Peter Wolfe (Sunshine Coast Food Ambassador), Matt Gollinski (Gympie Food Ambassador) and Poh Ling Yeow (Logan Food Ambassador) all flying the flag for Queensland on the Queensland Taste stage.

Alongside the celebrity chefs and cooks will be 'Marketplace', where more than 80 farmers, wineries and small food producers will set up shop, allowing interaction between producers and punters.
