Taste of Tasmania

The Taste of Tasmania

Hobart, TAS

28 December 2013 - 3 January 2014

Taste of Tasmania is Tasmania’s premier summer event, bringing together thousands of foodies on Hobart’s waterfront for seven days and nights of eating, drinking and entertainment.

Celebrating Tasmania’s finest quality local ingredients and fresh local produce through epicurean delights against the backdrop of Hobart’s waterfront setting. The majestic River Derwent, Hobart’s historic wharves and Salamanca precinct provide the perfect backdrop while the spotlight shines on fresh Tasmanian produce.  Think Tasmanian seafood, cheese, berries, wines and boutique beers.

This year’s event celebrates 25 years and will offer over 70 boutique food, wine, cider and beer stalls, tempting taste buds with Tasmanian produce.

The Taste of Tasmania’s Food Tours will also take you on unique journeys to visit select producers and discover the background stories and the provenance of their produce.

The best way to celebrate 25 years is with an epic birthday bash and that’s exactly what the Taste of Tasmania has in store for revellers with a New Years Eve event not to be missed.  There will be a great line-up of entertainment including DJ’s, pop up performances and bands playing on two stages. Ringing in the New Year with a fresh half dozen oysters at the Taste Festival in Sullivan’s Cove with the hard-partying members of the Sydney to Hobart fleet is an experience you’ll never forget!

Stay in Hobart and choose from our collection of luxury boutique hotels and accommodation.
