Local Knowledge:

Depending on which way the wind is blowing, under the right conditions it's worth checking out Kiama’s main tourist attraction, the Blowhole.  However a smaller “little Blowhole” is located a few minutes south of the main Blowhole and performs best under moderate seas.

Getting there:

Air:  Fly into Sydney Airport and South Coast is approximately 2 hours by car.

Car:  Self-drive is one of the best ways to explore the South Coast region. Follow the Grand Pacific Drive, a coastal touring route staring south of Sydney, passing over Sea Cliff Bridge and on to the seaside villages north of Wollongong.  From Melbourne, follow the Sydney Melbourne Coastal Drive passing through seaside towns and villages, picturesque beaches and bays and more than 30 national parks  and reserves.  If you're travelling from Canberra, it's a two-and-a-half hour drive through historic Bungendore and Braidwood to Batemans Bay.
