Mt Hay Retreat is a hilltop hideaway just minutes to Berry Village, but the tranquil, secluded setting will make you feel a million miles away from the hustle, bustle of contemporary life. Set against the backdrop of Broughton Head, Mt Hay lies in a protected escarpment, a natural wonderland with plenty of areas for quiet contemplation.
The retreat features 5 separate villas, each filled with natural light and expansive decks to take in the magnificent views of the rolling hills of the South Coast. Architecturally designed, the villas provide a private escape
Each spacious villa features a king sized bed and is well appointed with all modern conveniences such as fully stocked kitchenette, large bathrooms, seamless indoor/outdoor living spaces to enjoy the private deck with outdoor bath for two.
Explore the 360 acres property; wander landscape gardens with unique sculptures and art pieces dotted around the retreat. Relax by the tranquil dam or feel the joy of the sky scraping swing and giant chess set. Enjoy use of the onsite 33-metre indoor heated pool and spa for the exclusive use of in-house guests. Please note, due to the nature of the property Mt Hay Retreat is not suitable for children.
The property is a working farm, with the owners committed to sustainable and responsible business practices with a minimum impact on the environment.
Arriving from the North: As you enter the township of Berry, cross Broughton Creek and take the first turn on your right (signposted Wattamolla and Broughton Vale) onto Woodhill Mountain Road. Follow this road for 1 km then turn left into Bong Bong road. Follow Bong Bong Road for a further 1km taking the left turn up Mt Hay Private Road. Follow Mt Hay Private Road for 2.6 km over the bridge, across 3 cattle grids, up the hill and around the hairpin bend and when you see the sign for Mt Hay on your left hand side, please turn right into the driveway!
Cancellations and refunds All cancellation requests must be in writing. Cancellations within 7 days of arrival will forfeit 50% of the total cost of your stay; within 48 hours of arrival will require full payment of all booked accommodation. Whilst all attempts will be made to resell your room you remain liable for the costs of your total accommodation booking. The booking may be transferred to another date within 6 months of the date the deposit was paid less a $100 booking fee. Should you fail to arrive on the scheduled day of your reservation your room will be held until the following day in case you have been unforeseeably delayed and are unable to contact us. Should you not arrive the next day your reservation will be cancelled and the total accommodation charge will be applied. Any changes to bookings must be requested in writing by e-mail. Please note that due to the nature of the property we are unable to accept children or pets as guests at Mt Hay Retreat. Mt Hay Retreat is a no smoking property.
