Jamala Wildlife Lodge is a unique accommodation and animal enclosure within the National Zoo & Aquarium in Canberra. Luxury tree houses, suites and rooms in a masculine safari style awaits, with intricate carved wood detailing, four post beds with quality linen, animal print furniture and floor to ceiling windows to best capture the stunning roaming animals.
This once in a lifetime experience brings the safari and luxury accommodation together, with 18 luxurious rooms that offer close encounters with giraffes, sharks, lions, cheetahs, lemurs and more. Enjoy the onsite café and restaurant where four course communal African style dinner party is prepared.

Jamala Wildlife Lodge is located just 10 minutes’ drive from the CBD on Lady Denman Drive, next to Scrivener Dam. Lady Denman Drive is accessible from the Tuggeranong Parkway, Parkes Way, Cotter Road & Clunies Ross Street. Canberra airport is a short 15 minute drive or taxi ride. Complimentary parking is available onsite, alternatively an Action Bus service operates from the City Bus Exchange daily.
Prior to Arrival: - 60 days or more | Full Refund - 30-59 days | 50% of total monies paid will be refunded - 29 days or less | All monies will be forfeited Checkin Procedure: On arrival at the Zoo guests can park in the main car park and make their way through the landscaped gardens to the Jamala Wildlife Lodge entrance (or be dropped off at reception). Guests can check in to Jamala Wildlife Lodge any time between 1.30pm and 3.30pm (later check in is available but please check with Jamala). Those checking in between 1.30pm and 2.00pm can go on the optional Afternoon Tour. Those checking in after 2.00pm can explore the zoo or relax in uShaka Lodge until 3.45pm when they will be taken to their rooms. Please note that due to animal encounters access to your room is not available before this time. No refund can be given in the event of non-arrival or any unused services due to weather disruption or animal welfare. We recommend that you protect yourself with Travel Insurance.
