Yering Gorge Cottages are adjacent to the private Yering Gorge Nature Reserve, which is 120 acres of natural river bushland.

At Yering Gorge there are several leisure activities available to our guests, including walks in and around the nature reserve and along the river frontage. These walks range from a gentle 20 min stroll around the river bank to the "Waterfall", or a 2hr walk, for the more adventurous. Also fishing, bike riding & birdwatching are just some of the many things to do at Yering Gorge.

Wildlife is abundant throughout the gorge and cottage area. With well over 200 kangaroos and animals such as echidna, wombats, wild deer, koalas and possums, you will have nature at your doorstep, making Yering Gorge a photographers paradise. There is also a resident pair of wedge tail eagles and their offspring. Yering Gorge Cottages & Nature Reserve is part of a 630 acre cattle and horse agistment farm. As the cottages are part of the farm, guests can take part in activities such as feeding the cattle or the horses.

All 12 cottages experience fantastic views of the Yarra Valley or the Yarra River and are luxurious and spacious. Constructed out of Victorian plantation grown sugar gum posts, and with West Australian jarrah floors, these cottages are built to impress! All have floor to ceiling windows to enhance the magnificent views.
