The regions best kept secret is Cedar Creek Falls, situated between Proserpine and Airlie Beach, it’s one of the Whitsunday’s most incredible attractions. The falls offer year round swimming with a natural pool at the base of the waterfall.

Getting there:

Air: Getting to the Whitsundays from overseas is best done by flying into Brisbane, Cairns, Sydney or Melbourne, and then booking a domestic flight into one of the Whitsundays' two airports. Brisbane offers the best range of connecting flights into the region. The two airports that service the Whitsundays daily are Great Barrier Reef Airport, Hamilton Island (HTI) and Whitsunday Coast Airport, Proserpine (PPP).

Getting Around:

The Whitsundays is world-renowned as a sailing destination, thanks to calm seas surrounded by picturesque islands, protected by the Great Barrier Reef. Hire your own yacht and chart your own course around the Whitsunday Islands for a holiday you'll never forget.

Car: The Bruce Highway is Queensland's main route connecting Brisbane to Cairns. Turn off to the Whitsundays at Proserpine along the Bruce Highway.

Taxi: Getting around Airlie Beach and the Whitsunday Coast is easy with buses running from Shute Harbour via Airlie Beach to Proserpine throughout the day. Taxis and hire cars are also available.
