Directions

Located 260 kilometres west of Melbourne on the Glenelg Highway, a scenic three hour drive. From Melbourne travel on the Western Highway to Ballarat and then on the Glenelg Highway to Dunkeld. Located in the main street, Parker Street and Glenelg Highway of the Dunkeld township, on the right hand side travelling west.

The rooms include a desk, lounge chairs, coffee table, reading lamp, iPod doc, telephone, spacious storage closet with fold out ironing board and mini bar, bathrobes, slippers, high definition digital televisions, complimentary wi-fi and Austar.


The private decking has outdoor seating and a drinks table. Included in the rate is morning newspaper delivery and breakfast served in the hotel dining room.

One Bedroom Cottage

The historic Mt Sturgeon Cottages, hand crafted from local blue stone, sandstone and timber, provide a truly unique sanctuary.


The cottages, once home to the propertys shearers and cooks, have been fully restored and thoughtfully decorated to provide comfort and relaxation in a tranquil rural setting with stunning views of Mount Sturgeon and the surrounding grounds.


The ultimate escape, the cottages do not have televisions or telephones.


Your one bedroom cottage features a sumptuous queen size bedroom, and unique water tank bathroom. Your home away from home also comes with kitchenette (microwave, toaster and electric frypan), open plan lounge and dining area with wood fire and leather sofas, and outdoor seating area to make the most of the stunning views.
