Perched atop of a hill, overlooking the Brokenback mountain range and positioned in the original wine region; Pokolbin Parish, lies the tranquil hilltop haven of Elfin Hill.
Elfin Hill was the first accommodation established in the Hunter Valley in 1972 and has recently undergone a refurbishment, providing modern touches while retaining its country charm.
Be warmly welcomed by your hosts in the guest pavilion, an ideal retreat during your stay for curling up in the cosy couches or taking in the sunshine from the veranda overlooking the vineyards. The guest pavilion is equipped with a commercial kitchen, making it an ideal venue for small conferences, groups or weddings.
Elfin Hill offers six studio rooms and one self-contained loft villa, providing luxe for less Hunter Valley accommodation. Studio rooms are comfortable and compact, recently refurbished with queen size bed, sitting area, en-suite bathroom and kitchenette. Studio rooms are ideal for a couple's weekend getaway to the Hunter Valley. Family rooms are also available which feature a queen bed and 1-2 single beds.
The Loft Villa provides spacious, self-contained accommodation with private balcony and views of the surrounding vineyards. The villa sleeps up to 5 guests with king size bed on mezzanine level and double sofa bed and single ensemble bed available. The kitchenette is fully equipped with microwave, coffee machine and bar size refrigerator. The bathroom features a separate bath and shower.
Cool down from a day of wine tasting with a refreshing dip in the 12 metre saltwater pool overlooking the valley. BBQ facilities are provided as well as picnic tables and chairs dotted around the extensive gardens.
Wake to the sound of Kookaburras, native birds and wildlife and enjoy a hearty continental breakfast served either in your room, the guest pavilion or in the garden. A full cooked brekfast is available on request (additional charge applies). Breakfast items are sourced from the market garden and eggs from the free-range chickens roaming the property.
Elfin Hill is the perfect base to explore all the Hunter Valley has to offer including wine tasting, hot air balloon flights, helicopter flights and dine at nearby restaurants.

Elfin Hill has been hugely busy refurbishing guest rooms and completing a fabulous guest pavilion, the perfect spot to sit on the veranda, enjoy the spectacular views and a glass of hunter wine. The pavilion provides a space surrounded by views to gather with friends, on the veranda,enjoy the peace and quiet. Furnished with lounges and a huge dining table it is perfect for breakfast or just to sit and read the papers.Full commercial kitchen for guests convenience or for outside catering. For winter enjoy the gas log fire. Small groups, mini conferences,meetings, weddings etc. Can accommodate up to 24 guests.
