I love technology. I’ve often wondered why hotels haven’t adopted automatic checkin systems like the airports for quick, efficient entry anytime of the day or night. Then I check in to 1888 Hotel and get the friendliest service I’ve had in years and I remember why I value good service.
This week we attended Luxperience: an industry event for bespoke luxury and high-end experiential travel. If you follow our Instagram feed, you’d think it was all Champagne, canapés and fun in the harbour city, however there was a serious side to the conference. We commenced with a Thought Leaders Forum held at the iconic Luna Park. Luxperience CEO, Lindy Andrews discussed the ‘New Luxury’ in her opening address, which is more personal and immersive travel rather than generic 5 star hotels. We couldn’t agree more and alluxia strives to bring unique experience so you can live like a local and explore the destination, rather than feeling like a tourist. Talk of “best ever” and “vintage of the century” are being whispered by winemakers. Hunter Valley 2014 Semillons are being bottled and released now, whilst 2014 reds are maturing in oak barrels until their release later in 2015.
