Brisbane's Top 7 Brunch Spots

Brunch glorious, brunch! This dining phenomena originated through church goers post-worship nibbles, however as of late it seems Brisbanite’s are lingering between the sheets and indulging in an egg or two. Due to Brisbane’s increasing demand for mouthwatering dishes at all hours of the day, Alluxia has comprised a list of our city’s top 7 brunch spots to appease all foodies far and wide.

Foxy Bean, Woolloongabba

Nestled amongst the hustle and bustle of Woolloongabba is an urban oasis called Foxy Bean. We at Alluxia cannot fault this foxy establishment as their local produce and outstanding service consistently delivers. Be sure to taste test their Hello Halloumi, a masterpiece of crushed avocado, diced tomatoes and a copious amount of halloumi on sourdough.

Shouk, Paddington

Experience the flavours of Israel, Tunisia and Australia at a charming corner store in Paddington known as Shouk. For those with a little wanderlust, pop into this café to be inspired by the flavours and outstanding hospitality of husband and wife duo, Guy and Adi. Their flawless potato pancake stack with cream cheese, poached eggs and smoked salmon is a real show stopper.

The Ponycat Café, New Farm

With a mythical name and all day breakfast, the Ponycat Café is an absolute must do. For a little food coma, we’d encourage you to take a peek at their weekend specials, as created by their culinary wizards. This café sure isn’t a one trick pony with their choc chip brioche and roasted field mushrooms!

The Pearl Café, Woolloongabba

With an exclusive ambience, locals have been flocking to the Pearl Café to savour European gastronomy at its finest. Its distinguished interior of exposed bricks, subtle lighting and antique touches is the perfect setting to indulge in the cafés sought-after menu. The Pearl Cafés fried duck eggs topped with porky goodness on sourdough will most definitely win you over!

Cowch, South Brisbane

Suffering from a slight sweet tooth? Look no further than Cowch! This seductive paradise offers Brisbanite’s the perfect combination of naughty and nice. Indulge in their breakfast churros sprinkled with cinnamon, ricotta and all things sweet. Or why not treat yourself to their renowned Canadienne waffle bowl as topped with bacon ice cream and a touch of maple syrup.

Vintage Kitchen Café, Coorparoo

Mammoth portions and fresh produce, it couldn’t get any better! The Vintage Kitchen Café is definitely a quirky establishment filled with all things vinyl and vintage. This bohemian café has Alluxia’s stamp of approval with their extensive all day breakfast. We’d recommend sinking your teeth into their Vege Stack, a delectable combination of roasted pumpkin, spinach, a sprinkle of feta, a generous serving of avocado and sundried tomatoes.

Pablo, New Farm

Think seasoned avocado on toasted sourdough with a touch of mango salsa, zest of lemon, avocado oil and last but most definitely not least, grilled halloumi. Pablo’s esteemed menu offers layers upon layers of scrumptiousness and attention to detail. It’s the perfect spot to take in Queensland’s sunshine and the finest breakfast on the market.
