Melbourne | Burch & Purchese Sweet Studio

While desserts take centre stage at this Melbourne favourite, the chocolates are no less impressive. Our favourite is the Popcorn & Honeycomb Rubble, so utterly delicious! Although it’s hard to go past their famous gold bullion bars, made with rich dark Belgian chocolate shell and filled with salted caramel and finished with a decadent gold lustre – oh my! Burch & Purchese is deliciously close to alluxia favourite The Olsen.

Brisbane | Couverture & Co 

New on the scene, Couverture & Co is the brain child of ex-Bittersweet chocolatier Jessica Brookes. Couverture & Co is an artisan chocolate shop with products made from the finest Belgian couverture chocolate. Chocolates range from the classic to the unique including Fig & Amaretto – fig pieces with dark chocolate Amaretto ganache.

Brisbane | Dello Mano

Adelaide | Haigh’s Chocolates

A South Australian institution, this fourth generation family owned company since 1915 turns out an impressive selection of chocolate delights. They are famous for their milk super frog and we love their nod to all things Australiana, there’s even a native Australian flavour collection & novelty bilby and cod shaped chocolates. Their Easter and Christmas selections are always first class too.

Adelaide | Red Cacao Chocolatier

Red Cacao Chocolatier in Stirling is a boutique, artisan chocolate shop in the heart of the Adelaide Hills. We were completely charmed by this sweet store and its cabinet of chocolate truffles. On Friday and Saturday nights the store transforms into a Dessert Bar with chocolate desserts and tasting plates.

Canberra | Robyn Rowe Chocolates

And while you're touring the wine region of Canberra, stop by Robyn Rowe Chocolates for a sweet treat. Made with the highest quality imported Belgian Callebaut Fair Trade couverture, Robyn Rowe chocolates are deliciously smooth, glossy and creamy. A warm chocolate brownie was available on our recent visit, comfort food on a cool winters day in Canberra.

Kellys Candy Co is a family owned Australian confectionery manufacturer creating premium handmade products using traditional recipes and techniques and that's something to support!
