Best Bars to drink Champagne in Brisbane

As if you needed an excuse to pop a bottle of bubbles on Friday, it's also Global Champagne Day!

Dom Perignon knew a thing or two when he exclaimed 'Come quickly, I'm tasting the stars!' and our love affair continues to this day with the wonderful wine so inextricably linked with celebration.

To get the most out of your celebrations, here are our recommendations for the best bars to drink Champagne in Brisbane and celebrate Global Champagne Day:

Mr & Mrs G Riverbar
With postcard worthy views of the Brisbane River and Story Bridge, Mr & Mrs G Riverbar (pictured above) is the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of the French stuff. With an impressive wine list by Sommelier Shawn Gomes there's a range of Champagne's available from NV Veuve Cliquot up to 2006 Louis Roederer "Cristal" if you're in the mood to indulge.

Up on Constance
Looking for a Brisbane hotel with an amazing rooftop bar? Then look no further than Tryp Hotel's stylish rooftop bar Up on Constance (pictured below). With a great share plate menu and Veuve Cliquot featuring prominently on the wine list, you'll find a bottle of Veuve at Up on Constance to be amongst the best value in town at $100/bottle. Cheers!

Claret House

A stylish neighbourhood bar, with a laid back welcoming atmosphere Claret House is an ideal spot to enjoy delicious share plates and quality wine. Blackbird Bar
With a bar inspired by the opulence of The Great Gatsby and boasting panoramic river views, settle in to the luxurious lounges and drink in the incredible view. With an impressive drinks list including Gatsby inspired cocktails, ales and ciders, we still can't go past the range of Champagne on offer including Perrier Jouet, Ruinart, Bollinger, Dom Perignon and Louis Roederer 'Cristal'.

Socialites Bar
A hidden gem in Brisbane is the intimate 1920's New York inspired Socialites Bar (pictured above) at the exquisite New Inchcolm Hotel. To celebrate Champagne Day, you can enjoy a bottle of Mumm Champagne for just $89 when you dine at Socialites Bar or Thomson's Reserve. Restaurant bookings & details here.

Cru Bar
This James Street stalwart is a great spot to enjoy a sundowner in stylish, sunny surrounds. As you'd expect there's an extensive wine list including half bottles of Champagne if you're feeling dainty up to a rehoboam (equivalent of 6 bottles or 4.5L) of Louis Roederer 'Cristal' if you're celebrating with a bang!
