Brisbane Festival is back bigger than ever from 7-28 September 2013 with 89 productions and exhibitions and more than 450 performances, that’s big! These shows will sell out quick, so we suggest if you like what you see, grab yourself a ticket and accommodation asap!  Here’s our pick of the festival:

Freeze Frame |  Directed, choreographed and written by three-time Emmy award-winning choreographer Debbie Allen, Freeze Frame will blow audiences away with “break the floor” dance moves, soulful voices and the untold true story of how art, dance and music can transform lives.

La Soiree | Full of saucy wit and skilful acts, La Soirée showcases the crème de la crème of twisted cabaret entertainers from around the world.

The Spiegeltent  | It’s everybody’s favourite tent, and this year it’s staying up late. The Spiegeltent is playing host to some of the best Australian and international bands, cabaret, comedy, and jazz. And here’s some good news party animals, the Spiegeltent is open until 3am, with late night programming on Fridays and Saturdays.

Festival Flavours | Brisbane Festival has partnered with a host of great local restaurants to bring you a guide to Brisbane’s best Festival Flavours.  You can indulge pre-post theatre at many venues including Champ Kitchen + Bar and enjoy Seared Yellow Fin Tuna, watermelon, soy gel and wasabi, paired with 2012 Salome Tempranillo Rose, $30 – delish!

Sunsuper Riverfire | Everyone’s favourite, Queensland’s iconic Riverfire will light up the city in a pyrotechnicexplosion of colour set to an incredible soundtrack. A fitting celebration to close 22 days of festival fun! Saturday 28 September 2013.
