Tweed Artisan Food Weekend Program Highlights

The Tweed Artisan Food Weekend is back, bigger than ever from 27 to 30 November 2020, for a flavour-filled long weekend of bespoke food experiences celebrating the incredible people, place and produce of the Tweed.

Over four fabulous days and across a series of stunning locations in the Tweed, you’ll experience some seriously special events, with the region’s chefs and producers serving up some outstanding culinary flavours, local culture and fresh tastes to savour.

Celebrated local chefs, including Pipit's Ben Devlin and Steven Snow of Fins Restaurant, together with well-known chef Christine Manfield, who also calls the Tweed home, will work hand-in-hand with farmers, distillers and growers to create pop-up events that hero the distinctive provenance of the region.

Here are some of the festival highlights to whet your appetite:

Zeta’s Coffee Tour | Friday 27 November
Visit Wirui Estate, the only coffee plantation in The Tweed and delve into the production with owner Zeta Grealy. The tour includes coffee and cake on arrival and in depth discussion about the coffee production process. A must-do for coffee lovers!

Pasta E Prosecco | 27-29 November
Learn the art of pasta making with a paddock to plate experience at Woodland Valley Farm. Hear about regenerative farm techniques as you collect eggs and then participate in a pasta-making workshop. Experience also includes sunset drinks and local produce platter on completion and take home pasta.

Husk Barrel House Dinner | Friday 27 November
Hosted by founder & distiller Paul Messenger in the Husk Distillers barrel house, sip on a welcome drink while you learn the history of this incredible enterprise. Settle in for a shared dinner feast including rum tastings and cocktails.

Farm Feast with Christine Manfield | Sunday 29 November
Having recently relocated from Sydney to The Tweed, Christine has been inspired by the bounty, quality and connections with the community of her new home region. Christine has created a special plant-based menu of shared plates using seasonal organic produce from Farm & Co and nearby local artisan producers to showcase the very best the Tweed Coast has to offer.

Mavis’s Kitchen Long Table Luncheon | Saturday 28 November
Don’t miss this long table luncheon at Mavis’s Kitchen while chefs prepare venison ethically sourced by Fair Game Wild Venison. The long lunch includes shared platters, venison served with leafy greens and vegetables from the garden and dessert. Vegetarian and vegan options also available.
