Today we celebrate alluxia’s 3rd Birthday, hooray! It’s been an amazing adventure, and while it might appear to be all glamorous jetsetting, there’s a lot of geeky work behind the scene to bring you our website of luxury escapes.
Our journey started with an idea to make finding and booking unique getaways simple and easy to book online. The online travel landscape is ever changing and we continue to strive to carve out our niche of delivering quality accommodation, which is independently verified and uniquely Australian, and we thank you for coming on this journey and supporting us.
I’m often asked what’s my favourite destination, house or hotel and I’m normally diplomatic and mention a string of great properties. But today, I’m going to reveal my favourite place to stay in Australia. Drum roll please…. Rocky Hills Retreat is hands down our favourite!
Set high on the hill, this glass structure is a luxurious hideaway for two on Tasmania’s east coast. Owner, Brett Torossi has thought of everything, from the unique inclusions such as a maxi-bar filled with goodies so you don’t need to leave your hilltop hideaway, to the art studio with an array of art supplies to fuel the creative spirit, this getaway needs to be on everyone’s bucket list.
One of the real joys of our job is meeting the owners of all the amazing holiday houses and hotels you see on our website. Spending time visiting their property, sharing a coffee and chatting about their business is an absolute highlight of our travels and we thank these properties for their ongoing support.
I’d also like to make special thanks to my marketing guru and accountability partner Kym O’Gorman, for her guidance, support and loyalty. This year we welcomed Saskia Moon as our Product Manager and I just know her eye for quality will steer the alluxia collection in an exciting new direction. Shout outs also to Ashleigh Law our mini marketing guru for creative guest posts and Claire “Bergs” Rosenberg for her copywriting flair.
To celebrate our birthday in style we’re spending the afternoon at Champagne Club! What is Champagne Club you ask? The rules are simple, each member brings a bottle of French Champagne and we drink! Sounds fabulous, yes? There are no fancy tasting notes, just talking nonsense and enjoying great company and a fine drop. So today we’re raising a glass and thanking each of you for your support - cheers!
