Ovolo Group acquires Inchcolm Brisbane

We've heard whispers for weeks and now we can finally reveal that Ovolo Hotels has acquired The New Inchcolm Hotel & Suites Brisbane from Brisbane businessman Peter Flynn reportedly for $16.5 million.

The New Inchcolm Hotel & Suites is Brisbane's premier boutique hotel, with 50 exquisitely appointed rooms and suites. The award-winning Thomson's Reserve Restaurant and Socialites Bar dominate the ground floor, plus elegant event space and private dining at the rear of the hotel.

The New Inchcolm Hotel is popular for both corporate and leisure travellers with it's mix of stylish rooms and suites. Ideal for special occasions, the hotel offers eight "rock star" style Loft Suites and the heritage style MacArthur and Thomson Suites.

This acquisition signals Ovolo Hotel's first foray into the Brisbane market. The Inchcolm will join the impressive collection of Australian hotels including Melbourne's Ovolo Laneways and Sydney's Ovolo 1888 and Ovolo Woolloomooloo.

This addition of a Brisbane based hotel marks Ovolo group's continued expansion within the ANZ region – an effort is being led by Ovolo Hotels Australia COO, Dave Baswal and Acquisitions & Development Manager, Raphael Antonini. While the Inchcolm is recognised as a true 5-star hotel, Mr. Baswal and Mr. Antonini have confirmed plans for an Ovolo makeover – aligning the Brisbane hotel with the brand's contemporary approach to both design and all-inclusive hospitality.

Ovolo Hotels officially takeover on 24 August 2017 with the Ovolo makeover and rebranding expected to be revealed in late 2017. In the meantime, it's business as usual and you can book a stay at The New Inchcolm Hotel & Suites here.
