Pumphouse Point is set on some of the most stunning natural landscape in Australia. Be inspired and explore your surrounds with activities such as bushwalking, fishing, nature photography or a bike ride. Alternatively, relax, rejuvenate and reflect in the peaceful surrounds of the luxury lodge.
Pumphouse Point is located 2.5 hours scenic drive north of Hobart at Lake St Clare. Lake St Clair is surrounded by over 100km of walks, ranging from leisurely strolls to overnight bush walks, including the renowned Overland Track from Cradle Mountain to Lake St Clair.
Weather conditions at Lake St Clair range from perfectly still to the perfect storm. Plan ahead and pack warm layers, a cosy jacket, raincoat and some sturdy footwear for exploring the great outdoors, however there is always the sanctuary of the cosy lounge.
Located on the lake's edge, the original Hydro substation presents a classic art-deco style complete with original exterior and lovingly restored. The Shorehouse is the heart of Pumphouse Point, home to the main dining room and lounge. Rooms located on the floors above enjoy peaceful lake or bushland views.
Stay in the Pumphouse suspended over water and wake to tranquil vistas. There's a guest lounge in the Pumphouse complete with honesty bar, cosy fire and the most magnificent backdrop through generous bay windows to the mountains beyond. Buggies are available to navigate the 240m flume (or jetty) and assist with transporting luggage.
Dining at Pumphouse Point involves kickstarting your day with a hearty breakfast, enjoy gourmet platters from your in-room larder, help yourself to drinks from the honesty bar and delight in the shared-table dinner with fellow guests in the evening.
Located on picturesque Lake St Clair, 2.5 hours from Hobart & 2.5 hours from Launceston.
